The questions gym owners ask before they add ProShop to their setup.

  • Does ProShop need a separate database?

    No. ProShop runs inside the same Gym Assistant database that holds your member records. Inventory, sales, and member-account charges all live together.

  • Can I charge purchases to a member's account?

    Yes. Charge to account at sale, settle the balance with the member's next dues run or a one-off payment.

  • What hardware do I need?

    A Windows PC, a barcode scanner (we include 1D/2D omnidirectional in our POS bundle), a cash drawer, and a receipt printer. We sell pre-tested kits.

  • Can I track inventory levels?

    Yes. Every SKU has a count, a reorder point, and a low-stock alert. Run end-of-month inventory reports in seconds.

  • Does ProShop handle sales tax?

    Yes — set tax rates by category, by item, or sitewide. Tax shows on the receipt and in the daily report.

  • Can multiple front-desk PCs share the database?

    Yes, with the Network License — 2 to 10 PCs sharing the same database over your local network.

  • Can I sell day passes through ProShop?

    Yes. Day passes are a SKU with a date attached. Gym Assistant tracks expiry and prevents reuse.

  • Will ProShop process credit cards?

    Yes — through your Gym Assistant integrated merchant services account. The card processes the same way dues processing does.
