The check-in process listens for a credential read while Gym Assistant runs. The front-desk PC can be doing anything else — running reports, taking POS payments, signing up a new member — and check-ins keep flowing. Every read writes a visit row to the member's history and updates the on-screen "in the gym now" counter.
If a member tries to enter who is past due, has an expired waiver, or has been flagged, the system holds them and surfaces the reason at the front desk. Staff can release, send the member to billing, or print a receipt — all from the same screen.
